1994 Club Car.......charger keeps running??

I have a 1994 Club Car that has been turned into a hunting buggy. Recently it has not been charging right and therefore it has no battery life. I had the batteries checked and they show good as they are only a couple of years old.

When I set it to charge everything clicks and comes on as it should, but usually what would be an overnight charged has turned into charger running until we disconnected it the next day?? Recently ran 20 hrs. non-stop and had hardly life before it was dead!

Any ideas??

have you taken any voltage readings ?

Do you have a DVM? If not, you need one as a sparky owner. A cheapy will do. We need to know the pack voltage.

Where would I get this reading?? We took some readings when the batteries were checked and I just need to know what readings you guys need and where can I get them?

Pack Voltage?? Sorry I am not very cart savvy and need to be schooled :)

pack voltage = volts of entire pack
36v neg #6 battery & pos #1 battery
48v neg #6 battery & pos #1 battery
