Default DIY Battery Box

Was surfing the web today and found this. May be a solid building point for people looking to build their own battery but not sure what to put it in.

Was out of stock when I looked earlier.
Seems nice, very tight, I didn't think they (LF105) would fit but seems 2x8 squeeze in with a bit at one end.Looks like foam packing without compression. Can't figure out the Gauge- don't see a shunt mentioned.
Is it a good value? -dunno

I would imagine the Guage would be a mod bus one with a compatible bms.

I think it would fit fine. I recently built a battery in a packout box of similar size

Don't have a picture with the monitor screen for the inverter installed but you get the idea. This battery was only a 24v battery but as you can see i installed a ton of hardware ontop of the battery pack sealed inside two delwat trays.

Also really hate how this forum turns all your pictures on their fricking side. Can we get this fixed or does it do this when the picture is large and this is its way of making it smaller?

It has to do with how you hold your tongue and the phone when taking the picture. Take a pic with your phone on its side and see what you get.

It happens to me when I hold my phone portrait, and I keep forgetting to turn it landscape. It would be nice if you could rotate the photo in the edit section.

I haven't run across any MODBUS setups. Are you saying the RS485 ports run MODBUS? ( but don't spell it out 'cause it is proprietary?)

It talks about JK BMS, so I would assume they are selling a display compatible with it, and not a standalone shunt meter. But the pictures of the display do not match the ones JK sells. Possible they are just including a voltage based meter, that would be trash...

AliExpress.

Zooming in I see "supnova" display . Don't see that exact one on Ali.

Ali does have a "capacity indicator" under that brand which has a toroid+Hall sensor instead of a shunt, seems like a nice option.

You can at least on an iPhone. Edit the image, bottom right there will be an icon with arrows around it. Click on that and at the top you will see an option to rotate or flip side to side. Adjust and click done.
