"Power on all four legs"? you need a ground. Ground is supplied through the controller, but the controller needs the proper inputs.

Check over the wiring diagram and trace the throttle pot, limit switches, etc before you jump to buying any expensive parts. On one that old a bit of corrosion in a plug along the wiring is probably the most common problem.

Ray I just picked up the same cart and had the same issue. On my cart it was the limit switch(#14 on the diagram) on the F&R switch. You can hot wire it to find out, just hook the 2 wires together.

Hello I have a Yamaha G9e. It is missing the wire assembly which is now discontinued. I want to upgrade it from 36v to 48v lithium. I have a single 48v lithium battery, 500a Curtis controller, and a new heavy duty 48v solenoid. Can I just use any golf cart wire assembly? I can’t find the discontinued one but does it matter which one I use? Thank you
