Default 2000 ezgo txt series upgrade

I have a 2000 ezgo 36v txt series cart that I would like to upgrade to travel the hilly terrain I have. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The cart currently has a lift kit installed.

A good start would be an Alltrax SR48500 and new cables and an HD solenoid. Then you can get into 48v, a new charger and a new motor.

Will a new motor be required if I go to 48v?

No. Not at all. In fact you’ll get even more speed and torque out of your old motor. A controller, solenoid, and charger ARE required, as well as a cable upgrade.

The EZ GO cart in my signature still has the 36v motor and tops out at about 17 mph, but it will pull the front wheels off the ground if your not careful!
