Default 2020 RXV Elite Range Concern

Hey all, I live in the Jacksonville area in Florida. I have had this cart since September which I bought new. From the factory, I was getting between 40-45 miles to a charge. Since then few things were modified. Bob programmed my cart to go faster (what a welcoming change that was ) and that probably reduced the range to 35-40. Since then I have added 2-inch spacers on all four wheels for better stability at 30mph. That kinda pushed the wheels out of the body and forced me to add fender flares to keep water from splashing in the cart. Our ride around here is mostly flat surface.

Yesterday with all four of our family in the cart and some dohickeys with us (combined weight no more than 400lbs, my kids are small) we got about 20 miles. I did have a cart enclosure on and the outside temp was around 60 degrees.

Does anyone have and insight into what is going on? I would like to get the range back to 30-35.

Additional mention: I do have a Bluetooth soundbar, 120w subwoofer, and a GPS speedometer, however, they are all running off of a separate 12v, 20ah LifePO4 battery that is charged separately as well. All of these probably adds another 30lbs to the cart weight.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Well I am no expert but temperature has a lot to do with battery performance. So I think cooler temps with the added weight is why you are seeing lower range. The enclosure is also adding wind resistance.

I second that. An enclosure adds a LOT of wind resistance at higher speeds.

Hey Bob,
Nice seeing your reply. As it is warming up here, I think the range is already in 30+ range with the enclosure off . I have however asked the dealer to add two more lithium packs making it a 120AH, just so that I don't have range issues next winter :). If you swing by this way send me a message please we will do lunch.

Thanks.
