Default Do I need new springs with rear seat kit?

Hi guys, I am in the middle of modding a 1999 G19 Cart and am about to order a rear seat kit. Some places (Jakes) say you need heavy duty springs in the rear and others do not. Do I need to do this or should I? Also, if the answer is yes...is this something I can do on my own or do I have to have a special tool and should let someone else tackle it?

THanks,
Jake

It's a good idea. Otherwise the cart will squat with passengers on the back. Pretty simple job. If you can install the rear seat kit you should be able to replace the springs.
Good luck with your project.

I agree with Loud & Lifted, It is a good idea. Jakes HD springs work great. You will need to take off your old shocks, some way cut the old coils springs (hacksaw/cut off wheel/electric bandsaw or plasma cutter) then a allen head wrench..done. then reinstall shocks. Easy upgrade. good luck Dave
