Another new guy..
I posted yesterday, with a couple questions..And was asked to post pic's.
4 days ago I didnt even own a cart..I found a 78.?. 3wheeler , found that I liked it but wanted a 4wheeler, well, now I have 2 carts. The 3 wheeler runs very strong, and is in great shape. The 4wheeler needs motor work..Today I took it part..so that I can rebuild the motor, and sandblast/paint this one.. Should I buy a complete top end kit, at 50 0ver?.. The same thing when I started messing around with old classic boats.I ended up with 10. Carts are cool, though.I like the older ones..very simple..but I can tell I will want a little more power..any input would be great... my dog loves riding on these carts.. |

Re: Another new guy..
ok..tore the engine down today, and to no surprise, the piston skirt was in pieces. My question now is, how much end play is acceptable in the connecting rod?.I see that the rod bearing is roller/needle pins..it moves a little side to side, but no up and down play..I dont want to replace piston and have problems later, with the rod..
