Default Any reason not to buy a 93 DS

I have never owned a cart and I found what seems like a decent deal on a very clean 1993 DS

Anything I should know before plunking down my hard earned cash?

The biggest single expense/mistake would likely be having to replace bad batteries (between $600-$800 for a set) - they can't just be replaced one at a time. Look for a date code on the top of the batteries (you can research what the codes mean on this site) - see if they match or if they are different. Also how old they are - typical battery life without abuse is roughly 6 years.

93 club cars are great !! yes i own one !!!
it's a resistor cart super easy to work on .. not great speed put very dependable..
down side it is 1950s technology as scottyb says
if its a controller cart it can be upgraded
even the resistor cart can be upgrade by scottybs conversion kit

Thank you guys! I know nothing about carts so this will be a learning curve. The batteries are Nov. 2012 date code and my son said they seem strong. I didn't drive it, I am a couple of hours away so I sent my son to do it. He said it drives good and is pretty fast. I am heading down tonight to pick it up. 93 yellow, I love the color of yours, I may have to copy that.
