I have 3 460's - 2 wedge heads and 1 hemi. All 3 have 1.3 to 1 roller rocker arms, both of the wedge heads required shimming the rocker assembly and longer push rods to correct the rocker arm geometry. The hemi only needed longer push rods. I use Gage Aluminum rockers in one and NR steel rockers in the hemi and other wedge head and none were drop in or bolt on parts.
If the rocker arm angles are not correct it will eat the valve guides out in short order. It also ensures the valves are opening to there max lift.
