Sorry to sound like an idiot but...
I usually work on EZGO's and most of my CC experience is on gas ones so if its something more than an OBC I'm a little lost. I bought a 2010 CC Precedent today at auction that does not run. The batteries are good early 2017's the cart came with no charger but the pack is holding 50.5 v's. The lights , horn etc work but my handheld doesn't pick up the cart. So I'm thinking something on the 48v side is loose/ unhooked. My problem is how do you get to the controller? I pulled the rear body off and it looks like the back seat frame has to come off to remove the cover on the controller ? If so I'm definitely a EZGO fan for life any suggestions are appreciated!

In the battery compartment there is an aluminum panel at the rear. Take two middle batteries out and that panel has two screws holding it.
Remove those screws and the panel will fall forward. The controller and OBC and solenoid are on the back side of that panel. |

Re: Sorry to sound like an idiot but...
If the controller won't power up the handheld it's either a bad controller, or it's not getting powered up. The OBC is responsible for powering up the controller. A simple bypass of the OBC will determine whether or not it's the issue. Remove the rear access door of the precedent in the bagwell area. You'll see a plastic controller cover, pop the four upper tabs loose and drop the controller cover down. Un-plug the six-pin square connector that plugs into the OBC and jump the white wire to the blue wire on the wire harness side of the connection. If the controller powers up and works, you'll know the computer was the issue. Replace the OBC and it will fix the problem. If the controller still doesn't power up, check the fuse in the black Delphi fuse holder located near the solenoid. If it's blown, replace it. Let me know what you find. Call me tomorrow if you need to. I'm not too terribly far from you and I'm more than willing to help out. 706-836-7210. I don't check the forum during the day most of the time, so if you need me, call me.
