Default 1990 Piston and head questions

I have a 90 Club car I bought that was seized up. The cam gear came apart. I have a new cam and am ready to reassemble. The piston is marked with R an L. Can someone tell me which side the r points to?

Also what do the head bolts torque to? Other than that I think I am ready to do it.

Thanks,
Jim

Hello ugla and Welcome to the forum.

One of the Gasoline Engine techs should be along here any time to assist.

Ok, I found most of the info I need on the web. I have head torque and line up of balance and cam shaft.

One question. Can anyone tell me about the alignment of the cam shaft? I can align the marks on the gears two ways. That could cause the ignition to fire 180 degrees off. How do I decide which rotation of the cam to align the dots?

Thanks,
