Default Long term storage with Charger attached?

I'm getting ready to store my cart for the next 3 1/2 to 4 months. I have a 2012 Precedent with the Powerdrive III charger. I've read that the charger kicks in every 14 days or so and tops the batteries off. Should I really leave it plugged in to do that? Most people here just top off the charge and then disconnect the cables from the pack. Is there any harm in leaving it plugged up? That would only equate to 7 or 8 charge cycles over the period.

I absolutely positively would leave it hooked up. I have the PD3 and have done so on several occasions and it has worked very well. When I do get back from vacations or long trips, I just unplug it and re-plug it in to top it off (this is in case it has been several days since the recharge cycle occurred.)

My cart stays plugged in at all times unless I am using it. If I fail to come home and it sits until the scavengers dice up their pieces, at least they will be able to jump on it and drive away......

And if you are going to do this frequently, it may be of benefit to purchase a small trickle charger as a maintainer. (The main thing for keeping them charged is you want to avoid sulfate formation)

I assume the run/tow switch should be left in the tow mode?
