Default I'm grabbing another basket case tomorrow.... Don't tell my wife.

I spoke to the seller a few minutes ago. Supposed to meet up around noon tomorrow to see it, and likely buy it.

I've had two CC sparkys in the past, but they were both 36v resistor carts, '88 and '92.

This one is a '98 48v model.

So, apparently there are no batteries, which is fine, and it needs a F&R switch. Also not a big deal.

My question is this: What else should I check for, aside from the obvious?

I also don't know where the controller should be mounted, which seems like it should be easy to spot, but again, it's my first controller operated cart.

Thanks in advance!!

And, yeah, I also noticed the 6v batteries around it in the pic, and thought it might actually be a 36er.

But, he said he thought to add one more to get to 48v, but ran out of steam on the project.

Please post the serial number when you get a chance. It does appear to be a late 90s cart, with the newer style front cowl. Does he have six batteries to go with the cart? Cause you'll need those to trade in when you get new batts, to avoid the core charge. The charge receptacle can help determine the voltage, round with three pins is 48v, two slanted prongs (crow's foot) is 36v. If it has a controller, it'll be mounted behind the batteries and above the motor.

Perfect! I'll keep an eye out for that controller.

I think he has 4 batteries, and I have a couple laying around that will cover my core charges. Those can add up!!

Overall, the pics don't look horrible. Shouldn't be too bad. I just need to finish up my EZ-GO gasser project to make some room for it.

That will help!! Thanks guys.

I currently don't plan to lift it or run any huge wheel/tire combo. Seems like these CC's can only handle 18-19" tire height, without problems.

Assuming the stock controller is good, I'm pretty much thinking of only doing a F&R switch, upgrading all the battery cables, and basically just a set of decent batteries.

That should cover most all the bases, right?

Just a nice clean "resto" is what I have in mind. Here are the last two I did a couple years back.

Picture quality is a little crappy... Sorry about that
