Drive Train Upgrade After Wheel Upgrade?
I have a stock 2000 CC DS. I purchased a set of 23" tires on 12" wheels with a 6" lift kit.
My usage will be 50% street and 50% golf course. Should I expect issues down the road with my drive train? If so, what issues? Thanks for any insight. |

Rear differential is really stout. Do not be surprised if you find you need to get a bigger controller and possibly a motor though.

Due to a perceived loss of torque, but otherwise not an actual reliability issue, right?? I mean I would expect to lose a little torque, gain a little top end, but would the actual performance be hindered? |

What kind of grades will it be required to climb?

Re: Drive Train Upgrade After Wheel Upgrade?
I don't know … nothing too steep. Streetwise, probably nothing worse than 4% (guessing). Golf course, minor hills, but there's always a steep hill or two. Are you talking about sustained grades like a street, or like golf course hills? I am in AZ so there are greater challenges off-road, but I don't expect to go there. |

Re: Drive Train Upgrade After Wheel Upgrade?
Probably OK, but others with more experience on a stock cart with big tires will surely offer advise.

That is why drive system upgrades are so popular with modified carts. |
