Yamaha G29 Lithium conversion (Chevy Volt vs. Honda Clarity)
Having a hard time finding Honda Clarity batteries, but found a Chevy Volt system for sale. Which is better when converting to lithium?

More questions:
1) Do you need a separate power source for your lights/stereo/speakers? 2) If so, how do you hook all of this up to the charger? 3) If not, you just need to install a volt converter, right? |

So far I bought
XCT-400 200A Wires and terminal connector. Not sure what else I need to finish this conversion. |

I went with the Chevy volt in my ezgo txt. I have 3 of them. Have not had a chance to test out range. Kids drove this weekened and got 18 miles on it before they decided to come inside and plug up. I have a PlumQuick motor and alltrax sr48400

Re: Yamaha G29 Lithium conversion (Chevy Volt vs. Honda Clarity)
I do not know the honda clarity chemistry or capacities. I have Chevy Volt cells in my cart. If you want a 14S like i did, you have to get a little creative with the connections. If you want a 12S it's really easy to hook up.
The Chevy cells have been really well balanced and hold their relative balance quite well. I've been running Volt cells for 17 or 18 months and I'm still within 0.01vpc. |

Re: Yamaha G29 Lithium conversion (Chevy Volt vs. Honda Clarity)
I bought Fiat/Bosch 4S for 20V at 64AH for my boy's Power Wheels... The Bosch cells have been performing great for that purpose and I really like that they have the metal frame built in. Post pictures once you get into your build.
