EZgo 48v acceleration problem
Ezgo 48v custom electric Limo cart was rebuilt in Douglas GA, and given to my son by the Make a Wish Foundation in December 2011. The problem is today when we tried to drive the cart, if you press the accelerater pedal a little in foward the cart jumps to 3/4 throttle. When you press the accelerater all the way the cart stops, so it only has one speed now 3/4 throttle. It had no reverse until I unhooked the main battery cable for a reset. The reverse now works but the foward is still the same. Hoping for some help so my son can ride.

Re: EZgo 48v acceleration problem
Welcome to BGW.
We need to know what year and which drive system you have. Would be very helpful to know what the battery pack voltage is and if any modifications have been installed. |

Re: EZgo 48v acceleration problem
THe golf cart is a custom rebuilt job tere is no ID tag in the glove box or under the battery compartment flap. How do I find out what drive system I have other than 48v.

Re: EZgo 48v acceleration problem
Can you identify the controller make and model?
Beginning to sound like a throttle input signal problem. Have you means to test the ITS unit? Has the cart been thru any water or heavy washing? |

Re: EZgo 48v acceleration problem
The cart was driven down a very very wet dirt road with puddles yesterday by my son.

Re: EZgo 48v acceleration problem
After unhooking the main battery cables again, the accelerator now works normal again. ONLY its about 5 MPH slower!
