Some battery questions
My TXT came with Mega Power batteries, are these any good, I did not see this brand listed on the battery comparison charts. The Date code is H14 so how old are they?
Also I bought a can of industrial battery terminal spray, should I use this, what little corrosion I have seen is in between the lug and nut, not on the outside, it looks like this spray only coats the outside of the lug/nuts ? |

Re: Some battery questions
H14 is August of 2014. They are essentially new. I would use them until they fail, being new. Battery terminal spray in my experience is all but worthless. Corrosion can only be stopped by vigilant maintenance. But if you wish to spray it on it won't hurt anything.

Re: Some battery questions
If you clean everything first and then spray, it works pretty good. Also, don't overfill the batteries with distilled H2O. Only fill after a full charge because the level rises during a charge cycle. Then keep the tops of your batteries clean.
