EZGO Electric Cart with Intermittement Power Issues
I have an EZGO electric golf cart (1987) and it was working fine, batteries were old, so we replaced them all and also have replaced the solenoid, but now we are experiencing intermittent power loss. It is really slow to start up, then all of the sudden it will pick up speed and cruise at normal speed, if we have to stop the cycle starts all over again. Any ideas on how to fix this?

ok ... first check all wires and battery cables, give them a tug and a wiggle

Re: EZGO Electric Cart with Intermittement Power Issues
Everything is tight, all connections have been checked, and actually all cables replaced We also replaced the solenoid. We were wondering if it could be something in the speed switch contact board, the connections on there look like they are pretty dirty one of them looks like maybe something go too hot there at one point as there are little bubble spots on it, kind of like solder if that makes sense. Is that something that should be replaced from time to time? And would it cause intermittent power loss?

And, if you don't have a Multimeter, you should buy one. They are not expensive....like $15 to $25 and are golden when trying to DX a cart problem. |

Re: EZGO Electric Cart with Intermittement Power Issues
When installing the new switch board and wiper contact, is there supposed to be a gap between the switch board contacts and wiper?

no ... the wiper is spring loaded and contacts each stud to supply power to motor
