Default EZGO TXT 2009 reverse alarm

The reverse alarm will sound off while the cart is going forward. Could it be a bare wire making contact? Or is it the switch itself?

Which drive system does the cart have, Series or PDS?

Does the beeper sound while in reverse?

Is it a continuous beep or a series of beeps?

Not sure about the drive system.

Works in reverse.

Chirps occasionally while in forward.

The controller controls the beeper in a PDS system, so there is a possibility that the controller is on it way out, but are some other things that will tell the controller to beep the beeper while moving forward.

Does the cart loose power, or try to slow rapidly when the beeper sounds?

When you shift the F/R rocker switch to Neutral or turn the key off while the cart is moving, the controller applies max regen braking and beeps the beeper rapidly.

Also, put the controller into diagnostic mode and it might beep an error code.
The text at the bottom of the attached label tells you how to get into diagnostic mode.

Has the cart been modified in any way? (IE: Tires taller than 18")
