I think he is talking about the handle itself. They tend to seize onto the shaft.

never had one stick ... but you can remove the roll pin and pull handle and shaft off ... if you do need to cut handle off i have a few i could send you

I'll try that before I cut it off. Thanks for the replies, they make me want to get a Jeep for some reason.

remember that there is spring tension that the roller pin is holding back . when you remove it be ready to catch

Cut that son of a gun off. Got her hooked back and running good. Using vise grips for handle till I have time to free the old one. Just trying to get this thing right before I sell it. Thanks for the replies.
P.S.
The coils seem to get hot to the touch and the fifth solenoid lug is warm. Is this normal?

Coils are suppose to get hot like a toaster. The solenoid is probably o.k. If it's just warm.

Use a reverse drill bit and drill into the top of the screw if you are replacing the entire assembly. Even if not it will allow you to get it off and use a need nose vice grip to loosen the remainder of the screw from the hole. That's what I've done quite a few times.
