RXV Question

What is the little red light next to the charging port for. I have never seen it lit on my cart. Thanks Bob

My RXV (2012) has a small light on the charging port. It flashes green when the charging cord is plugged into it and the charger is charging. It goes steady green when charge is complete and goes out when charging cord is pulled out. This is common to all RXV's of all years to present as far as I know.
I am not aware of any conditions when this light would be red. The owners manual describes the light as I have stated.
The Powerwise QE chargers that come with these carts have a similar light show but also include a red light for faults.
Could you have some modification to the cart?

My charge port is brand new as I had to replace it recently on my RXV. I just plugged it in and mine doesn't light up at all either. The DPI charger shows its charging but the light on the cart next to the plug is not on. I can not recall if the old one ever lit either but I seem to recall it was RED when charging...Never saw a green light on mine. But my RXV is a 2009 so maybe they changed it.

Ah ha, the dip charger is key here. It does not communicate with the third wire on the charge port. No more green light with dpi is normal.

Mine is a 09 also. I changed the port and the charger....no light.
There was no light with the stock charger and port.
