Ok, to the negative side it is. So was it wired backwards before?

No - there is more than one way to wire the cart.

All done and running great. hills are no problem now. Took longer than I would've liked, but with a 1 and 3 year old that is expected. Kids love it. Thanks scotty for the help20161110_212611.jpglooking forward to 48 volt in the future but happy with what I have now. My pack strength 12 hours after charge is 39.5, these should last a while right? I believe they are gel, no water to fill but longevity maybe not as good? What it came with so not changing until I have to
