Default 2011 EZGO TXT needing more speed

I read this article about getting more speed out of my TXT..can anyone confirm this, and add to what I can do to get this to run faster.
Another approach is to remove the throttle linkage governor on the side of the carburetor, allowing the accelerator pedal to depress farther. But this type of adjustment is limited because golf cart engines have an electronic cutoff that shuts the engine down at a certain rpm. Considering the short turning radius of golf carts, bypassing the cutoff feature on a gasoline-powered cart might compromise personal safety in some instances.

Move the end of the throttle cable attached to the spring back. Loosen the nuts holding the cable onto the mount, move the cable back towards the mount to lessen the "play" of the cable, and tighten the two nuts. I got mine to 25-26 mph but adjusted back because that was too fast for kids. Max speed is now 21-22 verified by GPS.

MILLERTIME, hopefully your kids were okay!!! Do you know how fast that your cart would go? Mine is a lower cart and will run max 22mph, do you think that is too fast?

I've had it up to 20 MPH on the dirt road. My 19 year old niece was racing her brother on his bicycle and lost control. No broken bones, just road rash. I'm running 20"x8"- 10" turf tires no lift.
