Lost key, tried to hot wire, lost wire...
Went to attempt to start my 89 Ezgo 3PG by removing the wires from the ignition and joining them as I try to start it and one of the **** wires fell off. Is there a diagram that clearly shows where they are coming from so I can reconnect and attempt troubleshooting again. When I put it in reverse it always plays the reverse tone (key or no key). It supposedly ran about a year ago but it's just basically been forgot about. Compressions isn't all that impressive meaning I can turn it over with just snaking the starter belt with my hand. So I was just hoping to test spark/fuel/compression when the wire fell off. Ill assume I won't bother check for spark without it.
That's for any and all help! |

It's the black, short wire that fell off in my hand. Maybe it was just to a ground? There is only about 3" to it and its high gauge thin wire.

The first post in this thread has your wiring diagram. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...3pg-carts.html
The hot side of the switch has 2 wires. One is the supply from the fuse. The other goes to the reverse buzzer microswitch. The output side of the key switch feeds the pedal switch, and the neutral safety switch which is on the passenger side of your FnR switch. |
