94 Ezgo Marathon - jumping the solenoid
Our 1994 Marathon stopped running after replacing a battery. Thought is was the Forward reverse control assembly, so we replaced...this did not correct the problem. Found a loose post on the solenoid, so we replaced the solenoid, still won't run unless we jump the solenoid. Any ideas? Checked continuity on all the wires and all seem fine. This is a series cart.

Re: 94 Ezgo Marathon - jumping the solenoid
hey,
first, what Titus said would be a good start. But if it will only run when the solenoid is jumped I would say that's a good sign that's your issue |

Re: 94 Ezgo Marathon - jumping the solenoid
Stopped by my local golf part shop and talked to the mechanic. He gave me a wire diagram that I had not found online. Determined two things....a wire was missing going from the control assembly to the accelerator switch and that the accelerator switch was bad. Going to pick up a new one today. Cart is running now, but only by jumping the accelerator switch and not connecting the accelerator wire.
