Default Removed golf bag straps and need advice

Im very new to golf carts and I just bought a new to me 14 RXV today, got it home and cleaned her up. Ive never golfed in my life but this is for the lake and the roads in the park are smooth and nice.

After looking at it closer, I decided to remove the golf bag strap assembly.
After removing this I noticed the mounting brackets turn back toward the rear of the cart and look odd and stick out.

I really wanted to keep this a 2 seater, is there anything I can do/add to cover up the odd look of the brackets?

Sounds like you would not prefer a rear flip seat. Perhaps you will change you mind on that. Not only does the rear flip seat accomodate passengers when needed, it flips open and makes a nice cargo area when needed. I don't recall what the stock basket arrangement is like. Perhaps you get get a larger basket or even a small cargo bed for the back.

I thought about getting my sawzall out and cutting it vertical with the roof bars.

I would prefer not to put a rear seat on, I just really like how the rxv looks as a 2 seater.
I looked and only found one rear basket for sale and no pic of it on a cart.

Maybe I'll just put the basket back on and remove the bag straps if I can't find a nice accessory for the back.

I think that you will find having some type of accessory on the back to carry stuff will come in handy.

Hey, no harm in NOT wanting a backwards seat hanging over the rear bumper. Join the few, [the very few] who like the cart with only one couch. I am building a cargo box for mine to work with but there is no harm in leaving it bare! If you can't find ready made roof supports, without the bag holders, you or any fab shop can whip some up in a few minutes.

Your right Rickochet having a little basket back there will come in handy.

Dundee I could cut them vertical and flush with the roof supports and surely I could find some plastic caps for that 1.5" square ?? tubing.
But before I do that I'm going to look for another accessory except a rear seat lol.

Sounds like you have got it covered! I built my "basket" so I can remove the tailgate and it is usable as a rear seat the FEW times it will be needed using the rear bumper as a footrest. Also scarfed up a stainless toolbox to mount underneath in the bagwell.

I don't know a lot about EZ-Go, but try this: Look for some seat backs that are made FOR carts with a rear seat. Won't have to cut anything.
