If you're asking, don't... you'd need to cut through the epoxy (etc.) look for damage, source replacement stuff, have a way to test... I did it once on an 80's Maserati "brain board". The replacement was $1500 and not available for who knows. So I took it apart, went to my local Radio Shack, got the obviously zapped part for $.50 and soldered it in and was on my way. But at the price of a new box, I'd give the fun and games a pass.

I recommend replacing the solenoid as well. Certain models have an internal coil suppression diode between the two solenoid coil posts. If this diode is bad, it will damage the solenoid driver in the controller immediately the first time you press the pedal. When I worked at the Club Car dealer we had an old man who worked there part time who wasn't aware of this. He went through a stack of 10 good used controllers before he asked for help. By that time they were all trashed. Don't make that mistake. Replace the solenoid just in case, or order an Alltrax XCT controller with thermal protection and never have to worry about this issue again.

It means solenoid is welded closed. Did you follow Tahoe's advice and replace the solenoid with the controller?
