1993 Marathon controller question
Hi Folks,
I'm replace my corroded #6 cables with #2. I need a recommendation for an upgraded controller and solenoid. I do plan on going to 48v at some point. From everything I've read the motor I have should be good for this. |

Re: 1993 Marathon controller question
Your 36v motor will be fine on 48v.
As for controller, it depends on what you want to do. If your current motor is stock and you plan to keep it stock and don't really care to go riding up mountains then a 400amp controller should be fine. If you do have some serious inclines, want to pull a heavy trailer, plan on having some rather large people on the back seat then a 500amp is what you should consider. Like anything else. It depends on two things. What you want to do and how much you want to spend. Scotty B is a site sponsor and his website is linked in the sponsors list. I'd go there and check out your controller options. Good luck on the rebuild! |
