Default Dead Horn in RXV

I probably haven't used the horn more than a couple of times but when I wanted to shout out to a friend, nada. Horn is dead. Common? Trouble shooting ideas? After reviewing another post which recommended the horn opening face to the rear to avoid water ingestion on wet days I checked. Sure enough, mine faces the front. It is a stock EZGO horn, connected to the harness, mounted between the front suspension to the right of the steering column. Not a big deal but I just hate things that don't work like they are supposed to!

Default Re: Dead Horn in RXV

Out of boredom and my OCD nature I began trouble shooting the horn. Checked voltage and continuity at the connection to the horn at the harness side. Nada. Led me to suspect the button. Pulled button, and did the same. Some voltage when depressed and high resistance. Couple of sprays of WD-40's magic and presto. Crud ingestion into the switch -- caused by the goofball who installed the horn and put the lock nut on the wrong side of the switch. Funny how things work better when properly installed. Now I must hunt down a more interesting horn. I am just nuts.
