Re: 98 club car ds 48v
So I did exactly what Sergio said and the batteries started to charge, any idea on how long I should expect it to take for them to charge? I had the charger on it last night for about 2 hours and it went up from 41.6v to 49.5. Seemed kind of slow

Re: 98 club car ds 48v
Going from 42 to 49 volts in two hours is FAST! Keep in mind, at 42 volts your pack was dead, dead, dead!
A discharged pack can take up to 16 hours to charge. Keep the charger on, and monitor the voltage 'til it hits 60v (per Sergio's advice - unplug at that point). Then 12 hours after you've unplugged, measure your pack voltage and advise what your DVM reads. |

Re: 98 club car ds 48v
I charged the batteries over night and checked the pack this morning. It was up to 55v. I jacked up the back of the golf cart and put it in forward and hit the pedal and the wheels moved about an inch and that was it. I would think at 55v it should at least spin the wheels when they are off the ground right? Must have another problem somewhere else too?

Re: 98 club car ds 48v
Sounds like your Solenoid is not closing, did You run the Yellow wire from the Solenoid small post directly to pack negative to by-pass the OBC lockout?

I ran a jumper from the yellow wire to the ground stud on the controller

Make sure the Solenoid is "closing" when you hear it click. On a "Series Cart", you can also jump the big posts of the Solenoid (connect them together) to eliminate the Solenoid. |

Yes it’s hooked to B-
The solenoid does click when I hit the pedal but I will try to jump it and see what happens |
