What did I find ??? ID Help ...
Being "the Golf cart guy" in my little town, I acquired this goodie !!
I have been able to find very little about the EZgo part number other than "Differential, complete" and the $ 1,600.00 price tag !!! It appears to be "new old stock", still has the parts tag tywrapped to it, also the motor was still factory sealed in the box. (It is now in my cart Here is what I DO know: Dimensionally it is the same as my 98 TxT stock rear except the spring mounts already being on the TOP of the axle tubes. The height of the spring mounts are the same as my 5" lift blocks on my stock differential The axle diameter and hub opening are bigger than the 98 axle, these are slightly over .95"(edit for correct size) The disc brake mounts, and bolt patterns are the same as the 98. The old 36 v series motor from the 98 bolts right up. The gear set "seems to be about 6 to 1"..that is 6 revs of the coupling gets 1 rev of the axle. (A speed rear end ?) The orientation and type of "ring and pinion" are different than the 98 All that said, any ideas on what I've got, and is it of value to folks here. I got it to get the also "new in the box" AMD motor. It is big and heavy !! Any thoughts ??? Thanks ! Stan |

The brakes are Ausco so I am assuming someone installed those. Not aware of any OEM using the Ausco kits.

Re: What did I find ??? ID Help ...
That is what I thought when I first saw it !!
What has me confused is the larger axles..... I thought EZGo splined axles were one size fits all, and the Keyed axles were another size.... Oh well, I'm still searching for more info..... I did find that part number (616025) listed as discontinued at a Cushman parts site..... might be for a Cushman utility cart.... |

Schafer(Dana) made/makes an axle that is larger. I acquired some of these electric axles but the electric hubs were too small. I used gas hubs that fit. They were 16:1 ratios so maybe its "heavy duty"

Ezgo has always used a bigger diameter axle on the TXT gas carts. ANd the lower gear ratio was used in the workhorse vehicles. But the mounts look too large? I don't know what it is.

I will get you a list of where that axle was used, by the part number(616025). It will have to be Monday, don't have access at home.
