Default 6 - 8 volt batteries installed in 36 volt golf cart

unknowingly 6 8 volt batteries were installed in a 36 volt golf cart...what will be the consequences if any ???

Depends on the controller and solenoid. If the solenoid has a 36V coil, it won't live very long. If the max voltage rating for the controller is 36V, it won't live long either.

Put a 48V compatible solenoid and controller in it and it'll have 33% more speed and torque than it would have at 36V.

You will need a 48v charger also if you keep the batteries in it.

Thats sure strange, the stock 36v cables won't reach to allow installation of 8v batteries.

Guess step one of the upgrade is complete...
