Default 2001 CC DS intermintent electrical problem

Hi My name is Scott. I have a 2001 Club Car DS 48 volt 6 battery cart. I am having an electrical problem and could use some assistance. Batteries are good, run/tow switch is in run, can't find any bad connections. When I push down on the gas pedal sometimes cart won't move, and sometimes after pumping pedal or playing with forward/reverse switch it will take off and be fine while use cart, then the next time I go to drive it , it happens again, when this happens I do not hear solenoid clicking. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Scott welcome to BGW!
One thing is this is the introduction section and I would post this same question in the Club Car Electric forum.
You will have a greater response there.
Not to get technical here but that should be an easy repair.

Posts some pics, we like pics and can also help with diagnosing problems.

I can't remember which year it was, but it was early 2000 models have a problem that requires a drop out harness to fix an issue. Contact David at Revolution Golf Carts. He has the harness and can give you the advice you need.

It fixes an issue in the early IQ carts. I've read about it in here, but don't know that much about it. That's why I said give David a call. He can tell you exactly what year it was that was the problem year, but the problem was just as you described.

Your symptoms are not caused by what the solenoid "drop out" harness fixes.

Also, Your cart serial number needs to start with AQ01 to be an IQ cart.

The solenoid drop-out issue happens once the controller engages the Regen brake while the gas pedal is down in order to control the speed.

Your symptoms are more likely a bad micro-switch inside the throttle control (MCOR or Multi-Step potentiometer).

If it is an MCOR, just disconnect the 2-pin plug from the MCOR and place a jumper made from stiff wire or a large paper clip on the 2-pins in the harness.

This will basically by-pass the switch inside the throttle so it always ON.

If the problem goes away replace the MCOR.

If You have a multi-step potentiometer you can just replace the micro-switch with another 'Normally closed" micro-switch.

Thanks Sergio. I was hoping you or David would chime in and clarify. I've only read about the drop out a couple times. I thought it sounded like a similar issue.
