Lugnut froze and stud broke loose
So im tearing my 91 marathon down and this lugnut was coming off and then started spinning. It appears to have gotten stuck and my impact wrench broke the stud loose. Its just spinning in place and not coming out. So my question is how do i get this wheel off? I plan on replacing the brake drums with disc brakes, and the wheels and rims so im not worried about damaging them.

Re: Lugnut froze and stud broke loose
Sometimes you access the backside and weld the steel stud to the steel hub.
OR cut the stud off and weld a replacement in |

Re: Lugnut froze and stud broke loose
I would just torch nut off. Or torch the back of the stud off

Re: Lugnut froze and stud broke loose
Pop the dust cover off. Remove the castle nut and remove the hub. Grind or cut the stud off, If you need the rim.
