Default Lift kit tightened up brakes till they lock

My 93 Marathon brakes lock up easily now that I put a 5" lift on it. Especially when it rains. I found a video of a guy with the same problem, he said it's because the brake cable is pulled tight. He cut off the hanger/bracket and welded it a few inches toward the rear. I don't have the ability to weld so I was wondering if anyone had other ideas? I also heard the rear axle may be turning some in the u-bolts when braking and that's pulling the cable tight. I'll snug those up tomorrow if they need it... Thoughts?

My 15 TXT was doing the same thing. Not sure what size lift is on it but my dealer sent me these adapters that go between the brake cable end and the bracket and it doesn't lock up anymore. They're basically a brake cable/line extender.

I removed my cables from the hanger and used cable ties to hold them.

Get 2 new passenger side cables, use passenger side cables on both sides, thats the fix.

Thanks for your input. I see those brackets online, kinda pricey for what they are. I cranked down the ubolt nuts as they were loose but it still does it. I think I stripped one too. I noticed the driver side cable was pulled really tight as it was ran through a random bracket under the batteries. I unhooked the cable and reran it so it wasn't tight but it still does it. If no one has any other suggestions I'll order the brackets. This is Florida and it rains everyday and I can't drive the cart half the time. Sigh

For some reason I can't find a passenger brake cable for a 93 electric marathon, only gas. Lots of 91-92, and pre 90. Sheesh!

Anyone have a picture or link for the brake cable extender? May need some for my 13 and 14 EZGO TXT's.

Since I can't find the exact cable (appears to be 49", will it matter if I put a 50" on there that's supposed to be for a different year cart?
