Question Controller rebuilds on E-bay

May be in need of a new controller for my Ez go 1996 36 volt, dcs. Anyone recommend some of these rebuilders on Ebay. Hate to spend $350. + for some of these. Thanks Dan

Alltrax controllers start at slightly more than that. They offer a 2 yr replacement warranty and host of upgrade features like reverse polarity protection and more here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/about-...ntrollers.html

No experience with them myself, but most everyone you read here says to stay away from the rebuilds. I have seen posts where guys have had success with them, but it’s definitely not the recommended way to go. The word is that the controllers aren’t actually rebuilt, but only repaired. Now you’ve got a unit that has already failed once and has all original components other than what part was fixed.

I don’t know what the cost savings is, but I’d give serious consideration to getting something new.

Also, the DCS was EZGO's first venture into sepex drives and the Curtis 1206SX was a faulty design that fails often. Replace it with an Alltrax XCT and be done with it.

That's it in a nutshell. When we had a repair shop we offered these as an inexpensive alternative. But we soon learned that the very high rate of failure was driving both customers and technicians crazy
