Default MSP Multi-Step Potentiometer / Cart want go

According to my serial number I have a 2000 Club Car DS Electric. About a month ago I started having trouble with the battery charger not working so after some research I did a bypass of the OBC and the relay in the charger and got the Cart going again. Now I have a different problem, not sure if it's related or not.
I was going across the yard at full speed and all of a sudden the Cart slowed down and start shuttering. It would go and then stop. As I would press and depress the accelerator it would start and stop. Finally it stopped pulling at all. After a while I tried it again and it tried to pull but still starts and stops, not hardly pulling at all.
After researching on line, I thought it may be an MCOR problem. When I tried finding it I found that I don't have a MCOR, but have a MSP, Multi-Step Potentiometer.
1. Could these problems be related.
2. If not, What do I need to do to fix this problem????

Let me know if I can give anymore information to help diagnose this problem.

Is this a Series cart?

FNR Handle or a Fwd/Rev Rocker Switch?

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean. Series? FNR? Rocker switch?
There's a handle on the front wall of the seat that you move from side to side to select forward and reverse. Not sure if it's a Series or not. The problem is the same in forward and reverse.

Since you have the F/R lever that rocks side to side, you have a series drive cart. Shuddering is a classic sign of low voltage on a series car. What is your pack voltage, and how old are the batteries?

Yep, need to look at pack voltage and go forward.

Just to be clear. Are you saying it has a lever with an arm that moves back and forth, or is it more like a push button?

I've put a volt meter on the batteries and it reads 50 volts and it holds 50 volts when I press the accelerator and it tries to move. What's my next step? This tells me it's not a battery problem. I'm open for options!!!

It's a handle that rotates from side to side, fwd/rev. No push buttons.

Patience is a virtue...

Take a VOM and place it on the 2 small posts of your solenoid. Jack it up, then with the Key On, in Fwd, depress the pedal until you hear the micro-switch in the MSP click, then check your reading at the meter and report back what you have.
