Default Load test on batteries

I have done a load test on my trojan t875 8 volt batteries and came up with 7.6-7.8 and after that i used my meter to see what state they are in and all read 10.81-10.89 ..looks like they are very good your thoughts. .this was after i charged them last night This cart i bought was a refurbished silver standard precedent done in 2016 and are the same batteries the lady i bought it from really never used it and the tires still have the whiskers on them.

So without a load the whole battery pack shows 64.8v? Did I misunderstand?

A 48 volt pack will charge at up to 65 volts during the finish charge portion of the charging cycle.

If you are not charging and are reading a 65 volt pack voltage, you will want to confirm the accuracy of your multimeter. Ensure you are on the correct scale, check to make sure the battery in the meter is not depleted, check the calibration of your meter against a known voltage (a fresh 9 volt battery or your car battery) and use another meter to confirm the accuracy of your meter reading.

There have been a number of BGW members who have reported erroneous voltages because of meter problems.
