Default Cushman shuttle 6 48v

Can you take a cushman 48v with 8-6v batteries and swap it over to 6-8v batteries. Just wondering if anyone knows this. Thanks

6V and 8V batteries have the same sized footprints and 48V is 48V.

8V batteries have both terminal on the same side, so you may have to get some longer cables to connect them.

Also, a 6x8V pack will have less storage capacity than a 8x6V pack, so the range will be less. Attached is a comparison of various 48V packs using Trojan batteries. The higher the number in the far right column, the greater the range.

The 6x8V pack has two fewer batteries and will weight roughly 120lbs less, so the cart's performance will be livelier.

I can't think of anything that would keep it from working if less range is acceptable.

A Cushman shuttle 6 takes a lot of juice to move it around ... especially when it is fully loaded with passengers.

Be sure that you would be satisfied with a 24% lower capacity battery pack with the 6 x 8 volts (T875 vs T105) ... because if your are not sure, it will be expensive to switch back to 8 x 6 volts again.
