Default 2009 RXV Cart Fails Motor Brake Test on Startup

EZGO 2009 RXV

Cart Fails Motor Brake Test on Startup and Jumps backwards. it appears that brake is releasing before 1/4 motor turn test and then cart jumps backwards and intermittent beeps is heard from buzzer.

Only to partially stop problem is to hold brake pedal all the way down before turning keyswitch. then cart initiates correctly solenoid clicks and then can drive F/R but only for a bit and cart locks up again and intermittent beep is heard.

Have test replaced at Spares workshop the following but with no luck.
- Brake unit
- Speed Sensor / Motor
- Keyswitch unit
- Both Brake and Accelerator MicroSwitch tested on a new one.
- Black Resistor Square Box next to Controller (Danahan)

Diagnostic Tools says brake test failure but that is expected given the above outcome.

Anyone with any other ideas on what else I could test ? ( Solenoid / Controller )

Kind Regards

Jean

I don't see where you replaced the brake yet.

Did you use a OEM brake and torque to specifications?

Another brake was tested and it still jumped backwards failing the brake test.

Further Investigation has found some interesting values.

1. seeing 47v at the Motor Brake (measured through the CAN connector) which seems rather high. I was led to believe that it should be 12-18V as per the Danaher Diagnostic Code Manual. 25107 Brake Fail test.(Brake is Matrix 36v 51w). Brake is activating fine and engaging normally although hot when released.

2. Seeing 50.6v at Brake relay on 24V relay.why so high ?.

Could there be a problem in the Danaher controller ? i was expecting a 24v measurement on some pins such as to brake and relay ?

Any ideas ?
