There is a decent amount of parts on the zone that is american. The controller, motor, batteries, and on board charger to start off with. So what the frame and plastics come from china, these carts are still putting money in the US market.
I am not lecturing anyone. As an American you can spend your hard earned as you see fit. I am only letting others know how I feel about these imports. You won't hear me saying the same things about Yamaha because they are build in the USA and provide jobs to Americans. I truly fear outsourcing all of our manufacturing capacity to the Godless Commies.

These are assembled by an American company. Just a decent amount of parts come from china, but a good portion come from the US too. Including the guy delivering it, the guy recieving it at the port. The guy who makes the batteries and motor and controller. You have blinders on, just step back a second. I hate china just like the next guy.

Unfortunately those who tout only buy American are having a tougher time. With all the global manufacturing that's done, even EZGO has a factory in China and a lot of their sub-assemblies are manufactured offshore including motors, controllers, axles etc. The final assembly is done in the US so it has some American labor and the head office profits go to Textron's shareholders.

The real problem with these carts is parts availability...... Where can you get parts and who knows what to expect from them or how to diagnose them? They are new ..... We know the ins and outs of the major three. It will take some time before you can log onto a golf cart forum and say My fairplay wont start and 3 guys say check this or that..... yep 5 to 8 yrs minimum?

Don't misunderstand me ..... Today's tech can find their way around the imports but, they are not at all familiar with the quirks and nuances

Probably a good idea, Two reasons. It would save the ribbing a guy with a star car gets when he ask for help in the ezgo section, and gets (Sorry man thats no ezgo) And it would show people intersted in a import the limited access to parts, accessories, and tech info.
