Re: More Mods (Pics)
Thanks guys, glad you like my work!
I'm getting on a duck lease in the fall, so I've been turning my neighborhood crusier into a more off-road worthy vehicle. I had some smaller cheap 55w lamps on the front before I added the winch, but I had to relocate them. They werent very bright either, so I bought some Hella 500FF's to light the night. I had a welder custom fab a winch plate for me and it bolted to the frame perfectly. I'm not crazy about how the fender flares look, they take away from the wide stance look that I like. However, I will need them to keep the mud from slingin up on me. I dont plan to try to bury this cart or anything, but you never know. I added a small Interstate brand 12v wheel chair battery to the bag well and it runs the winch and the lights. Next mod will be a removable camo top cover and removable camo seat covers, then probably a 500amp Alltrax. |

Re: More Mods (Pics)
Wilster, my first set of lights was a set of Optronics with 55w bulbs. But the lens was iridescent and it cast kind of a blueish light. I think they were more for fog.
These Hella's are also 55w bulbs but they have the free form (FF) reflectors which use as many as 50,000 points to direct light which should produce up to 3 times the illumination as lights with similar wattage. I havent wired them up yet, just mounted them last night, but they should be plenty bright to guide me to the duck blind in the mornings. I mounted them on the uprights b/c I couldnt find a sturdy spot where they wouldnt vibrate like hell. |

Re: More Mods (Pics)
Thanks for the response and there is'nt a spot where they are'nt going to vibrate on these carts that i have found. The only thing to do is make the mounts as sturdy as possible and usem if ya gottem.
