Default choke problems

Just got a new cart for free it seems to run good only with the choke on once you take it off it will run but will only putter along the choke has to be on in order for it to accelerate whats going on? thanks Jeff

Which model do you have? More than likely the air box is not sealing properly or intake could be cracked.

ok first check that your mixture screw is 1 1/2 turns out from lightly seated. then check your carb spacer (black plastic) for cracks and also like craig said, check your airbox for proper sealing.

Had the same issue on my G2 and after making sure the carb was clean and the airbox was sealed I still had to use the choke. I had drill out the main jet bigger and now she runs fine..

I went from a 106 main jet to a 115 and she runs perfect
