G16 stops running

One more thing while I'm thinking about it...
When I received the TCI I noticed that the wire lead from the ignition was an open lead. I really had no idea how that was going to attach to the plug boot. I just took it on faith that if there was something I needed or needed to know that I would figure it out.

Well, once I got the old unit off the cart I finally pulled (unscrewed) the boot side off the old one. I took a look inside to notice that the wire inside the boot was basically a screw to act as the male end of the connector. So, I twisted it on and voila! I had a complete part. Once I installed it I checked the spark with my newly acquired spark/ignition tester. Smallblock's instructions about the matchbook cover were spot on in gapping the TCI on install.

I just wanted to include that little nugget for anyone else looking for the same install help.

Cart runs great now by the way. Kids took it out for an extended ride this afternoon.

Glad to hear it's running great again Must be the month for G16 TCI's to fail...must have had 5 call's about the same problem lately Also could have been the "engine stop relay" or wireing, but that's another thread. Mike, 98.6? , I'd say more like 50/50 chance I can help, but I do try to help when I can.
