Default Check it and double check it. Multimeter failure.

I just wanted to share this to possibly prevent my mistake from happening to anyone else. DOUBLE CHECK your multimeter before using it. I got in a hurry and was a little distracted and didn't change the positive lead to volts from DC10A and I started welding. SMH...

Anyway, the tip of the lead came off and melted down in the plastic. It doesn't appear to have gone deep enough to penetrate through. I will keep an eye on it though.
