ezgo st workhorse headlights
I'm trying to find replacement headlights for a st. The ones that come with it are big one piece halogen bulbs. Has anyone replaced this assembly with something like an LED or found a housing with a cheaper replaceable bulb?

If ya find something let me know. I want to convert mine to LED as well.

Re: ezgo st workhorse headlights
Yeah, price is crazy for a couple common bulbs. I just went to the garage and looked at mine. I see no reason why LED replacement 1156 or 1157 bulbs couldn't be used. There appears to be enough room to cut out the back of the bulb housing and replace it with a unit for the replaceable bulb. I did something similar with the brake lights. While it does produce a much better light, for me, it was a lot of work and I wouldn't bother doing it again. By the time you buy the bulbs and sockets, cut the base to accept the socket and remove the old bulb, etc, etc. That $50 price on ebay starts to look real good. Then too, for a brake light it works great. For a headlight????

How about an HID conversion? Did that on both my carts. Love them. - Mayor

I haven't found anything yet but I've got a couple ideas I'm working on. with the ST and workhorses all you get up front is a whole in the cowl that a sealed beam halogen fits in and mounts with screws from behind. This is a non adjustable setup.

Any update on this one?
My ST needs new headlights and I would rather go the LED route if possible. |

Re: ezgo st workhorse headlights
I was looking at aftermarket LED based headlights for some of the older trucks that used bulbs in the same size range as the ST's used. So far, I haven't really found anything that might work.
