Just an update for future users. It was the Igniter. I had bought the "cheaper" Chinese parts not knowing they were faulty. I took a stab in the dark instead of changing Igniter and coil I just went with the new Club Car Igniter and that was the problem. The Chinese coil seems to be doing it's job so maybe they just can't make Igniters!!
Thanks for the help!!!

Well now that it has been running I noticed something that I didn't see until now. You feater the gas to start it, and when its cold it is hard to start. Once it warms up it fires right up no problem. But the reason why it is doing this is because when it is running it is wide open. So it is wide open or the engine isn't running.

I tried adjusting the linkage going from the electrical box to the governor in the back and it hasn't changed. Just like before I assume it is something simple but I just don't see what it is.
Any suggestions??
This is what I have done to get it to this point so you don't have to read the whole thread.
Disconnected the linkage I mentioned above from the black box.
Disconnected the other cable the goes to the other side of the governor. (disconnected at the top of engine)
Unhooked fuel lines
unhooked groungs
Pulled motor
Replaced Igniter, Coil, Fuel pump on gas tank, drained oil
Put engine back in and hooked everything back up.

When it runs like I said it is wide open. So it is dumping gas into the carb. You lay off the gas to slow down then hit the gas again to keep moving and it occassionally backfires from the gas loaded up.
The black box is clean and micros are clicking correctly so its not like there was a bunch of debris in there.

I just need it to go slow because he is old and that thing flies too fast for him to back out of the garage and go up and down the drive way.

So what's up????

check the butterfly in the carb , they are known to break off and disappear into the engine never to be seen again causing the all throttle all the time , the only problem is you cannot get the butteryfly itself you have to get another carb

So is there a place to get a carb that has a good one? In case that is the way I have to go. I don't want to buy another Chinese part and have it screw up on me like the igniter.
