wireing key switch electric vs gas
Hi all I took a 1995 electric car key switch and put on a 1992 gas car gas car has a white and white black wire together. I know they are micro switch wire . My question is are hot or grounds? The electric car has only 2 post .wire switch. The gas has 4 post. Any help would much appreciated.

Re: wireing key switch electric vs gas
The electric switch is just a simple on-off switch. The gas switch has 2 switches in one. 2 of the post connect together when you turn the key to ON. The blue wire sends power to the selenoid. The other side of the switch is the ground side of the engine kill circuit. When you turn the switch to OFF, it grounds the magneto so it can't spark. Hope this helps.
