my 1981 ezgo needs a bigger motor. any suggestions?
im 16 and just picked up an 81 ezgo just for messing around. i decided it needs more power than the 2stroke thats in it. it runs really good, just not enough power.
i thought about [putting in a polaris atv trany and rear end, but have read some about puting a snowmobile engine in. this would be good because i have a 340. will it work on a cart this old? do i need new clutches? please help me out! thanks! sharer123 |

Re: my 1981 ezgo needs a bigger motor. any suggestions?
Welcome sharer123 Problem with the old 2 strokes is that the rear end has no reverse gearing.....so you have to stay with a 2 stroke which can run forwards and reversed or go to a 4 stroke and give up reverse? That's not very practical so the best thing to do is to look for a 4 stroke engine and rear end with the F&R lever on it........ Good Luck
