Thanks Sunking
Sunking just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU.
Took delivery of my 2Five today and love it. Doug's delivered it this morning. Had them install a speed gear and the thing flies. With GPS app on cell phone goes around 34 to 35 mph, does good going up hills, and stops on a dime. So THANKS AGAIN. Give me a call about lithium conversion. |

Re: Donor Cart For AC Conversion LSV
Only problem is speedometer will never be accurate, as it still thinks its maxing out at 25mph.

Re: Donor Cart For AC Conversion LSV
Federal specs for a LSV say that the top speed is limited to 25 MPH.

Your 2Five sounds great, but do you know what the downside to the gear change maybe. I don't know if there are any and would like to know especially on motor load, wires heat etc. Your stopping power should be there with the 4 wheel discs.

Re: Donor Cart For AC Conversion LSV
High speed gears can put the controller into "thermal cutback" (a nice way of saying "we're taking away some power, because we are approaching overheating"). Never had too much trouble with motor "thermal cutback". I have never seen any damage due to overheating, because it will take away up to 95% power to avoid overheating.
